PLANT OPERATIONS

Forklift Training and Assessment

(WorkCover Accredited)

Course 1 (For beginners)
Two days training and assessing
$400 per participant

This course is designed for those with little or no previous forklift driving experience.


Course 2 (For experienced drivers )
Assessment only 
One day training
$185 per participant

This course is designed for individuals with previous forklift driving experience who do not hold a current forklift licence.

Participants of either course must be at least 18 years of age and have a thorough understanding of both written and spoken English.  All participants will need to read and learn answers to 97 questions contained in the forklift manual which can be sent on application.

On successful completion of either course, participants are eligible to lodge a licence application with WorkCover for a fee of $65 accompanied by a passport photo supplied at their own expense.
 

 

PLANT OPERATIONS

Chainsaw Operations

(Nationally Accredited Course)

Course 1
RTC2304A Operate and maintain chainsaws
RTF2005A Fell small trees
Four days training and assessment
$450 per participant

This competency standard covers the maintenance, preparation and operation of hand-held chainsaws in a work environment. It requires the application of skills and knowledge to cross-cut fallen timber using appropriate cutting techniques to maximise volume and quality recovery. It also requires knowledge of licensing and OHS legislative requirements associated with chainsaw operation along with duty of care to self, others and the environment.

All participants will need to read and learn answers to 43 questions contained in the chainsaw operator's manual which will be distributed at the beginning of the course.

A Statement of Attainment will be issued to those participants who successfully complete the above units. Training and Assessing is held in areas throughout the Central West of New South Wales.

 

 

Proof of Identity

Assessor must verify the applicant's identity and date of birth. This can be done on the day of the assessment.

Acceptable forms of identification can be:
- Drivers licence
- Passports
- Birth Certificate plus one of the various cards or documents mentioned below:
  Commonwealth cards, Medicare card, Centrelink card, Veterans Affairs card or current telephone or gas bill.
