Facing setbacks when looking for work is frustrating. Katarzyna is heading to an age when most people start dreaming of retirement. Her family situations changed, and it was important to find steady work in her industry of hospitality, that was still dealing with COVID pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


She\u2019d recently moved the area to be closer to her daughter and lend a helping in hand in caring for her grandchild.
The 58-year-old sought a fresh start after years of challenges. During this transition, Katarzyna actively searched for employment opportunities in her new community. After encountering numerous rejections she thought were due to her age, she connected with OCTEC Jobs Victoria.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A friend recommended Katarzyna to OCTEC DES<\/a> in Melbourne\u2019s Edithvale. Despite her considerable hospitality experience and a diploma in customer service, Katarzyna still needed the support to navigate the job-searching difficulties ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
