It\u2019s a not-for-profit organisation that started as the Sydney Chamber of Commerce in 1826.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its mission is to provide a voice for businesses on the issues important to their livelihood. Business NSW members now form part of a network of more than 200 Chambers of Commerce across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March this year, OCTEC lodged entries in two categories in the Western NSW Business Awards \u2013 the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion category and the Outstanding Community Organisation category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finalists were decided in late April with OCTEC announced as a finalist in both categories.
