This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and well-being.

Face-to-face sessions at our Orange campus with experienced trainers and hands-on practice.

Online

Self-paced learning with live virtual classrooms. Requires a computer, stable internet, microphone, and camera.

Work-based

Train while you work. Suited to existing support workers and traineeship arrangements.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this course the enrolling student will need to:
  • Be willing to obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check or equivalent as per state requirement
  • Obtain a NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Have access to a computer, stable internet connection and a working microphone and camera (online programs only)
  • Have completed CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), OR CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), OR CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set
