Take your aged care career further with advanced skills in person-centred and palliative support.

Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged care services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

To achieve this qualification students must have completed at least 120 hours of direct support work at a care facility.

Face-to-face sessions at our Orange campus with experienced trainers and hands-on practice.

Online

Self-paced learning with live virtual classrooms. Requires a computer, stable internet, microphone, and camera.

Work-based

Train while you work. Suited to existing support workers and traineeship arrangements.

To be eligible for this course the enrolling student will need to:
  • Be willing to obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check or equivalent as per state requirement
  • Obtain a NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Have access to a computer, stable internet connection and a working microphone and camera (online programs only)
